Tuesday in the Group Class:

It's All About the Exhale

How you release your air when you sing dictates how easy everything else in singing will be. For some people (particularly really experienced singers or people who have played wind instruments) they already manage their exhale really well when they sing, but that is the minority. Even for those people though, breathing is a skill that you never finish working on. It reminds me of aiming for the basket in basketball. It's never something, no matter how good you get at it, that is simply a "finished skill". You're always calibrating your effort, direction of effort and senses so that you get the ball in the hoop, or sing the sound with ease and efficiency.  Depending where you're at in the basketball court, your effort, direction of effort and difficulty level can change quite dramatically. As a result, you're always making very tiny changes to your technique to better your chances of landing the shot. Same with singing.

In this group class, we'll be getting to know the types of helpful and unhelpful exhales, how to tell the difference between them and more!

So check out the class! It's starts at 7:00pm Tuesday 1/9/18 😀  and don't worry, you don't have to sing 😉 we'll be applying the various exercises to spoken sounds, right where it's comfortable for you.
