Is Your Voice a Problem to Be Fixed?
Do you find yourself sounding like whatever singer you’re singing with?
Or the opposite…that you like certain sounds you’re hearing with a particular singer…but your voice stays exactly the same?
If you’re the first person, this email is for you. If you’re the second person, we’ll talk about that next time !
Many beginning singers tend to fall one way or the other…either their voice seems to immediately imitate the singer they are singing with, whether they want to or not, or their voice seems “stuck” and not able to be influenced by or move towards the vocal tone qualities they hear in other singers.
Real freedom in singing, is the ability to move towards the sounds you hear in another singer, to blend with those sounds, but then also be able to sing in a completely different way from the original singer.
If you want singing independence (you can sing with another singer without accidentally sounding like the singer…or better yet, you can sound like the polar opposite of that singer if desired).
How would you discover that? What would your voice sound like, if you learned a song, without hearing someone else sing it first?
If you have ever taken singing courses or lessons, you may have run into a situation where you are trying to sound a particular way. Maybe you hear that nasal singing was bad, or that you must have tall vowels, or some other rule about what sounds good or what is healthy singing.
So then you find yourself trying to change your voice, without really knowing what it would sound like or be like had you not tried to change it!
So then what do you actually sound like? What lessons or online classes helped your voice become more YOU?
In the Feel Better, Sing Better [FBSB] Class, instead of listening to a singer and copying what you hear, we work directly from your imagination, to your voice. So that each step of the way, you are creating original, home-grown sounds directly from you.
If you're already taking lessons, this will accelerate your progress and make practice super-easy; you just follow along with the video.
If you're not taking lessons, this is your next best thing. You can take the classes at your own convenience and get 10min mini audio practice sessions when you're short on time.
In this way, you’ll get to know your voice, maybe for the first time ever. Along the way, we’ll discover and uncover the things that restrict freedom or undermine your independence (ability to sing differently than the singer you’re singing with) as a singer…so you get to know the talent hidden beneath 🙂

I'm already seeing improvement in voice and piano after two months.
Chris is an awesome teacher! He is super kind and super funny. I have no previous experience, and with only two months of lessons I already see significant improvement in my voice/piano skills! Definitely recommend doing both piano and vocal lessons simultaneously. Come to Chris, I promise you won’t regret it!
