Unintentionally Singing an Octave Lower: A Common Mistake Beginning Guy Singers Will Make

In this video we’re going to be covering one of the most common mistakes beginning guy singers will make, which is singing on the wrong octave. Singing on the wrong octave can sound right even though it’s not the exact notes being sung. If you know what octaves are and how to map your voice on the piano, it will be easier to see and hear when you are singing on the wrong octave. Often this can happen with guy singers who are just beginning to learn how to sing and have not sung much in their lifetime. Once guys get enough experience singing, it often (but not always) resolves itself.
